Every figure, with its source

One row per source: the figure the source's own page publishes, the page, and the day it was read. A figure that is not on a page we read is not on this one.

  • Utah Code 58-55-305 (exemptions from licensure), read 2026-10-17: (G) installation, repair, or replacement of a radon mitigation system or a soil depressurization system must be performed by a licensed contractor; and (H) if the total value of the project is greater than $3,000, the person shall file with the division a one-time affirmation, subject to periodic reaffirmation as established by division rule, that the person has:

  • Florida Statutes 489.103 (exemptions, Chapter 489 Part I), read 2026-10-17: (c) An individual repair does not involve replacement parts that cost more than $1,000.
  • Nevada State Contractors Board, handyman exemptions, read 2026-10-17: Work to repair or maintain property valued at less than $1,000, including labor and materials, unless certain conditions apply (e.g., building permit required, type of work, contractor’s license). Read in full, publishes no figure

10 named sources were read in full on the dates shown and print no usable figure. They are counted, never filled in.

Methodology

Every row is a verbatim sentence read from the named source's own page through our fetch service on the date shown, hash-pinned to the stored read (the sha of the page's visible text; the raw page is mirrored to R2).

5 of the 15 named sources that could be read published a usable figure; 10 published none and are recorded as not published, never filled in; 3 could not be read (blocked, dead or unreachable) and count nowhere.

The headline figures (median, minimum, maximum, quartiles) are over ONE figure per source in USD (a source's median where its page yielded several accepted sentences), so N counts sources, never sentences; 39 candidate sentence(s) were refused by a reviewer with the reason recorded.

The fuller derivation this dataset is chartered to grow into (not yet what the figures above are; they are each source's own published figure as read): one row per state per rule, each quoted verbatim from that state's statute or its board, with the effective date: the dollar threshold below which no licence is required (California $1,000 under B&P 7048 since AB 2622, Arizona $1,000 in ARS 32-1121 with an inflation-indexed rise, Nevada $1,000 under NRS 624, Utah $3,000 self-executing and $7,000 with a filed affirmation, Washington $500 before registration, North Carolina $40,000 before a general contractor licence, Florida's Chapter 489 exemption, Maryland's MHIC home-improvement licence, Virginia's Class C band, Texas no state handyman licence at all), whether the exemption dies on a permit, on advertising as a contractor, or on hiring help, which trades are carved out at any value, the registration fee and bond, and the penalty; the derivation nobody publishes is the CROSS-STATE table - the states with no threshold, the median threshold, which exemptions are voided by advertising - plus changed-since, which is the whole point, because three of these thresholds moved inside two years

39 candidate sentences on these pages were refused by a reviewer; each refusal and its reason is recorded in the review ledger.
