A handyman's price is the hourly rate for the hours plus the trip that pays for the drive and the setup, and the customer should see both lines, because a per-job number hides why the small job costs what it does. Materials at your price, tax on the materials

Materials go in at your cost and are marked up to cover the store run, the return and the part kept on the truck, shown as one line rather than a cost and a fee. Sales tax in most states falls on the materials and not the labor, so the software should tax the marked-up materials line and show the base, and leave the labor alone unless your state says otherwise.

A work order is a list of tasks, and the honest estimate is tasks times your average minutes per task at your rate, with per-task shown so you can see whether the list is worth the drive. Then every quote, work order and invoice files against the customer and the job, because the next call is about the last visit.
